The F8 Series chassis is an ultra high perfor-mance design in a low cost 1U rackmount enclosure. Feature rich, the F8 Series is a solid, robust design which will meet the most rigorous and demanding requirements. This chassis is ideal for drive intensive, space limited appli-cations.

The enclosure is constructed of 18 gauge steel, clear zinc plated for corrosion protection and an attractive appearance. The front panel is attractively detailed and is of heavier gauge than the chassis.

The F8 provides for four front accessible hot swap 3-1/2" drives. Models for SATA, IDE and SCA drives are available. The front panel provides for one externally accessible slim CD/DVD and one slim floppy drive. The hard drives can easily be configured for a large RAID. The F8 is ideal for data intensive or mission critical applications.

The chassis is cooled by six 40mm 15CFM ball bearing fans. Air flow is in through the front. The fans are mounted mid-chassis to improve drive cooling.

A door covers and protects the drives. Accessible behind the door is the power and reset switches as well as the power-on, drive activity, LAN and fan failure LED's plus two USB extension ports. The LED's are visible through the door when it is closed.

The F8 Chassis provides for mounting a standard EATX motherboard up to 12 x 13-inches. One plug-in card can be installed. A variety of riser cards are optionally available for 32 and 64-bit slots.

Power supply options include AC and DC input power and a power supply up to 225mm long will easily fit.
